college magazine analysis
The image of the man on the front cover connotes a positive
image of college due to him smiling. The necklace also symbolizes a positive
attitude towards college. Also the books he is holding shows that not only that
he is happy but also learning. Also from knew student having a law book will
show that there are a lot more opportunities in college than school life.
The colours on the front of the magazine contrast to each
other attracting the audience. The bright pink part will instantly draw your
eye and attract the reader. Aspects on the front shows what content is inside
letting the audience know what they’re buying. The blackberry reaches to the
target audience of teenager’s with technology. Also the music aspect is correct
for the target audience of college students.
‘The ultimate spring break escape’ will appeal to students
as the majority of people will be looking forward to half term. The magazine
will give them ideas what to do.
The title college lifestyle will appeal to everyone, new students
mainly as this appeal for to them and learn about college life.

Questionnaire analysis
From the
questionnaire that was handed out 50% where female and 50% was male. 95% of the
people do not the read the current college magazine. The student would want the
magazine to be produced monthly, 30% of the students picked the monthly option.
Most of the students would want the magazine to be free, however if there was
freebies or discounts in the issue than 90% of the students would be willing to
pay. 35% of people would be willing to pay 50p so with freebies/ discounts 50p
would be the right amount to charge.
The content that the students would want to
see would be an Art, news, games, sport and a problem page. The colours that
would attract the audience to the magazine would be blue, yellow, red and
black.
On the front
cover of the magazine 40% of people would want to see students and 35% of
people would want to see students work such as photography and art. An online version of the magazine would
encourage 75% of people to read the magazine and 30% of people would want to
contribute to the magazine meaning ion the college 500 people would contribute.
So on the
front cover you would include the colours red, black, yellow and small bits of
blue. The image on the front would be a picture of a student one term then a a
piece of the students work and alternate it. Also on the front cover you would
put a section saying what content is in the magazine so the audience will be interested
in what is in side. On the contents page you put the things that were closely behind
the five main subjects. If you put a banner saying the freebies and discounts
inside will be able to charge 50p or a pond for the magazine. Also put the
online web address on the front cover.
